We are seeking an experienced Supervisor who wants to work for an established NZ owned transport company. Based in Putaruru and reporting into the Depot Manager, you will act as the 2IC and supervise the Putaruru operations.

Job Description:

• Supervision of the depot, staff and vehicles.
• Ensure that delivery runs and Line Haul trucks leave the depot on-time.
• Ensure that the freight sort is completed in a prompt/correct manner.
• Investigate and improve any miss directs or issues that may affect the on time delivery of customer consignments.
• Ensure all Operations Staff are appropriately skilled/trained so reasonable hours of work are achieved.
• Work with customers to ensure any issues are resolved promptly.
• Ensure all customer consignments are delivered on-time and at the correct temperature.
• Monitor the ELA, Chiller, Freezer temperatures and any major faults.
• Responsible for recording and managing staff issues and non-conformance.

Key Skills Required:

• Must have solid understanding and experience of the freight industry (ideally chilled/frozen transport).
• Must have solid experience in operations Supervision of a medium sized and dynamic freight/logistics operation.
