Interisland Delays - Tues 13 June 2017

Dear Customer,

Due to adverse weather conditions and forecasted high sea swells, Interislander ferry services will be supsended from tonight through to at least Thursday morning.

This will impact all freight traveling from the North Island to the South Island and vice versa dispatched on Tue/Wed/Thu. We expect delays of 1 to 2 days over and above your current service with products on these routes. This will also create a back log of freight which will likely take until the end of this week to clear.

In addition to the Interisland delays, there is also Snow Forecast to low levels which may cause road closures in areas susceptible to these conditions. This includes the Lewis Pass and Arthurs Pass which are the only available routes between CHC and the upper South Island and the Lindis Pass between CHC and Central Otago. We will send an update on this as information comes to hand.

Please notify your customers as soon as possible of these delays which will continue across the week.

Delays 13.4.17

Due to very heavy Easter weekend volumes we will be running 2 to 3 hours late with deliveries across the network today nationwide. This will in turn mean we may be late for collections this afternoon as well.

Please also note we are experiencing adverse weather conditions in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and Northland areas today which may cause road closures. If this happens there may be consignments that will not be delivered today. We will advise effected customers directly.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, please refrain from requesting any ETA’s till after 12pm.

Interisland Delays -Wed 12th April

Dear Customer

Please note all Interislander Kaiarahi Ferry sailings have been cancelled from last night and throughout today due to Mechanical issues. This will have a significant impact on all Interisland freight due for delivery Thursday that was dispatched from North Island to South Island and vice versa across Tue 11th and Wed 12th.

With the large increase in volume due to Easter weekend, and the limited capacity available on the remaining Ferry sailings we expect delays of up to 1 day with these deliveries. This means some of the Thursday deliveries  will not be completed until Saturday the 15th of April (Good Friday falls in between).

We apologise for these unavoidable disruptions and the inconvenience this may cause. We will advise all customers effected directly on Thursday morning, and we ask that you in turn advise your customers of these delays.

This afternoon scrub fires alongside SH7 towards Springs Junction caused this road to close. This is the alternate route between CHC and Picton in the South Island while SH1 through Kaikoura is closed. The road (SH7) is now open, however there will be significant delays with product dispatched on the following routes.

Ex Lower South Island to CHC and all destinations North (dispatched Tuesday and Wednesday).

Ex Blenheim / Nelson to all destinations North (dispatched Wednesday).

Ex North Island to all destinations south of Blenheim (dispatched Tuesday and Wednesday)

Ex Blenheim / Nelson to all destinations South (dispatched Wednesday)

We expect there will be delays of up to 24 hours with this freight, however deliveries should be completed across Friday and Saturday.

Can you please advise your customers accordingly to avoid any disappointment.
